Volunteering: aged 13 to 23 and love books? Help out at the Summer Reading Challenge 2018: Mischief Makers

If you love books and working with children, Thurrock Libraries has great volunteering opportunities for you this summer.

The Summer Reading Challenge aims to get children aged 4 to 11 to read 6 books during the summer holidays. Last year saw over 3,000 kids take part!

As one of the volunteers you’ll support library staff by talking to kids and their parents about the books they’ve been reading, recommending other books they can try and handing out stickers, etc.

Anyone aged 13 to 23 can volunteer. It’ll be great fun, very rewarding, and it’ll look awesome on your CV.

Find out more about the volunteering position by clicking here and apply by printing and completing this form.

The closing date for applications is 29 June 2018 and training is provided in July after school.
