In 2018, our teams started using new modern waste and recycling lorries to empty household bins. We invited pupils at Thurrock primary schools to colour a bin lorry picture and give it a name. Our waste and recycling team picked their favourites.

Bin lorry naming competition 2022
Between 25 July 2022 and 31 October 2022, we asked children in year 5 or year 6 at Thurrock primary schools to help us name our new lorries.
Winning competition entries will be written on the front of 20 new bin lorries.
