Household waste and recycling

Household waste and recycling

We collect green/grey bins every week, blue bins every 2 weeks and brown bins every 2 weeks. Go to wheeled bin collection days to check details for your street. Current collection arrangements are temporary while we carry out a full review of waste services.

Request a new bin

The property occupier is responsible for replacing damaged or stolen wheeled bins.

Costs are:

  • £45 for a new wheeled bin
  • £22 for a new wheeled bin if you are aged 60 or over
  • £22 for a new wheeled bin if you receive certain benefits – proof of entitlement will be needed

You can pay to have more than one blue recycling bin for us to collect per property.

We will collect only one grey or green general waste bin per property.
