How much council tax you must pay
You usually get one bill a year for each property. The person living in the property normally pays the bill.
Use our online My Account services to:
- get your bills electronically
- check your payment amounts
- check your payment dates
- check the household details that we use to work out your bill
- set up a direct debit

How much you pay
The amount you pay depends on the valuation band given for your property.

The overall increase for 2022/23 is 3.17%.
The share that goes towards council services has increased by less than 3%, of which 1% is allowed by the government to help pay for adult social care, and the rest will go towards children's social care.
There is an increase of less than 4.8% on the share that goes towards policing and community safety, and an increase of less than 1.95% on the share that goes towards fire and rescue services.
