Approved premises in Thurrock

The following approved premises are all located within the Thurrock Registration Area.
Thurrock Register Office – Mulberry Suite
Our Mulberry Suite can accommodate a maximum of 60 people in the wedding party, including:
- the couple
- 2 witnesses
- guests, including any children or babies, if you wish
In addition, 2 registrars will be present, and you may invite a photographer and videographer.
Thurrock Register Office – Lacey Room
Our Lacey Room can accommodate a maximum of 10 people in the wedding party, including:
- the couple
- 2 witnesses
- guests, including any children or babies, if you wish
- a photographer, if you wish
- a videographer, if you wish
In addition, 2 registrars will be present.
Thurrock Register Office – Registrar's Office
Our Registrar's Office can accommodate only:
- the couple
- 2 witnesses
In addition, 2 registrars will be present.
Thurrock Register Office ceremonies
You can choose from any of our example ceremonies in any of the above rooms, except for the Registrar's Office where we only carry out marriage ceremonies using 'traditional ceremony' wording. You don't need to have a ceremony if you are forming a civil partnership.

Our emergency out-of-hours contact service can be used for emergency marriages or civil partnerships for terminally ill residents.
Thameside Theatre
The theatre can accommodate a maximum of 15 people in the wedding party, including:
- the couple
- 2 witnesses
- guests, including any children or babies, if you wish
In addition, 2 registrars will be present, and you may invite a photographer and videographer.
The theatre's facilities include:
- theatre-style seating for up to 250 guests
- foyer and bar area
- bespoke catering available
- amazing lighting and backdrop possibilities with technical staff expertise
