Year 5 pupils presented with Tilbury Towns Fund Board prize

Two young and talented competition winners were presented with prizes by Tilbury Towns Fund Board last week at Civic Square, Tilbury.
Max and Ziona both attend St Mary's Catholic Primary School and were presented with a bundle of goodies by Jackie Doyle Price MP on behalf of the Tilbury Towns Fund Board. The Year 5 pupils and their classmates were asked to create Tilbury-inspired works of art.

Tilbury awarded millions to transform the town

Aspirational plans to transform Tilbury have been awarded £22.8million of funding as part of the government's Towns Fund scheme.
The ambitious proposals by Tilbury Towns Fund Board were submitted earlier this year following support and input from the local community. Following the funding announcement, Thurrock Council will develop viable business cases to progress ideas outlined in the Tilbury Town Investment Plan.

Tilbury Towns Fund Board unveil innovative outdoor equipment for Tilbury

New outdoor equipment and running tracks have been showcased at Tilbury's Daisy Field (King George's Field) during a special launch event today (Friday 4 June).
Representatives from Tilbury Towns Fund Board and Thurrock Council, including Leader of the Council, Cllr Rob Gledhill, attended the event under COVID-19 secure guidelines. The new outdoor gym, Parkour equipment and running tracks to help people get active, were also opened up for residents to enjoy after the event.

Towns Fund puts youth at forefront of Tilbury transformation

Young people in Tilbury can benefit from 'a home away from home' at Tilbury Youth Centre, with new recreational equipment and Wi-Fi, thanks to accelerated funding from the Tilbury Towns Fund Board.
The fast-tracked £500,000 funding was provided to the board in November 2020 and divided between projects in Tilbury, as part of the government's £3.6billion Towns Fund.

Open call for Tilbury funding applications

Organisations that support residents into work are being encouraged to apply for funding through the Tilbury Community-led Local Development (CLLD) programme.
In total, £500,000 is available from the fund to be distributed among organisations that aim to support residents living in Tilbury St Chads ward and Tilbury Riverside and Thurrock Park ward who are unemployed and face considerable barriers getting into work. All grant applicants will need to secure equivalent match funding.

£25million plan submitted to transform Tilbury

A bid for more than £25million to fund plans including a state-of-the-art youth facility, a brand new jetty and vast improvements to the town's station hub, civic heart and rich heritage, has been submitted to the government by Tilbury Towns Fund Board.
