Local Plan information sessions

Our Local Plan team will attend the following meetings to provide information the new Local Plan and ask about places and ideas that matter to you:

Orchards Community Forum, Tuesday 21 March from 7pm at St Thomas's Catholic Church, East Thurrock Road, Grays, RM17 6SR
Bulphan Village Community Forum, Wednesday 22 March from 7:30pm at Bulphan Village Hall, Church Road, Bulphan, RM14 3RU

5-year housing land supply

The GOV.UK: National planning policy framework (NPPF) sets out the government’s planning policies for England and how they should be applied by local councils – this includes delivering a wide choice of high-quality homes.

We publish reports that show how we make sure there will be enough land in Thurrock for housing over the next 5 years.

The report covers:

  • sites with planning permission
  • 'windfall' sites that are not part of the Local Plan process but may become available unexpectedly
