Public notice

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 8 December 2022, the order will come in to force on 26 January 2023.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations: 

i. at the junction of The Haven/River View
ii. at the junction of Crouch Road/Stour Road
iii. on the north side of Stour Road, from the west kerbline of Chelmer Road in a west direction for a distance of 12m 
iv. on the west side of Chelmer Road, from the north kerbline of Stour Road in a north direction for a distance of 12m
v. on the west side of Chelmer Road, from a point 8m south of the south flank wall of 76/77 River view in a south direction for a distance of 11m
vi. on the east side of Thames Drive, from a point 2m south of the north flank wall of 41 Thames Drive in a south direction for a distance of 16m
vii. on the west side of Lea Road, from a point 1m south of the south flank wall of 24 Lea Road in a south direction for a distance of 16m

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
