Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

Limited Waiting

Civic Square, Tilbury

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 9 June 2022, the order will come in to force on 17 June 2022.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to:

a) introduce a new waiting restriction "Limited waiting Mon-Sat 9am-5pm 40mins no return within 2hrs" at the following locations:

i. on the northern side of Civic Square (northern section), from a point 8m east of its junction with Manor Road to a point 35m east of its junction with Manor Road
ii. on the northern side of Civic Square (northern section), from a point 3m west of its junction with Arkwright Road to a point 46m west of its junction with Arkwright Road

b) revoke existing waiting restriction "No waiting Mon-Sat 9am-5pm" at the following locations:

i. on the northern side of Civic Square (northern section), from a point 8m east of its junction with Manor Road to a point 35m east of its junction with Manor Road
ii. on the northern side of Civic Square (northern section), from a point 3m west of its junction with Arkwright Road to a point 46m west of its junction with Arkwright Road

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours and also on Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
