Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

Waiting Restrictions

Grays, Little Thurrock Blackshots and Little Thurrock Rectory

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 3 December 2020, the order will come in to force on the 4 January 2021.

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

a) To introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following locations:

i. on the western side of Richmond Road at the entrance to the Adult Education College
ii. on the western side of Moore Avenue from a point 3m north of the northern flank wall of 107 Moore Avenue in a north westerly direction for a distance of (14.2m)
iii. at the junction of Albert Close with Victoria Avenue
iv. at the junction of Foxhills Road with Rushley Close
v. at the junction of Brookmans Avenue with Foxhills Road
vi. at the junction of Heath View Gardens with Heath View Road
vii. on the northern kerb line of Grangewood Road, from a point 32.5m east of the eastern kerb line of 2 Gordon Avenue in a easterly direction for a distance of (3.7m)
viii. at the junction of Hillside with Chadwell Road
ix. on the eastern side of Blackshots Lane from a point 14.5m of the southern kerb line of Broadview Avenue in a southerly direction for a distance of 8m
x. on the eastern side of Hogg Lane from a point opposite Ark Avenue 10m north of the northern kerb line in a southerly direction for a distance of (31m) northwards;
xi. on the southern kerb line of Thurloe Walk, from a point 10m west of the western kerb line of Ludlow Place in a westerly direction for a distance of (6.2m)
xii. on the southern kerb line of Overcliff Road, from a point 1.5m east of the eastern flank wall of No. 140 Rectory Road westwards for a distance of 30m

b) To introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting Mon-Sat, 8am-6.30pm" at the following locations:

On both sides of Ward Avenue, from a point 2m west of the eastern flank wall of 131c Hathaway Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 12m.

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development Team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
