Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

No waiting at any time

Grays, Little Thurrock Blackshots and Little Thurrock Rectory no.2

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 1 September 2022, the order will come in to force on 3 October 2022.

2) The general effect of the Order would be to:

a) revoke existing waiting restriction "“No Waiting Mon-Fri 8.15am-9.15am and 2.30pm-3.30pm" at the following location(s):

i. on the south side of Broadview Avenue, from a point 10m east of the eastern kerbline of Blackshots Lane in a west direction for a distance of approximately 135m

b) introduce a new waiting restriction "No Waiting At Any Time" at the following location(s):

i. on the south side of Broadview Avenue, from a point 10m east of the eastern kerbline of Blackshots Lane in a west direction for a distance of approximately 135m
ii. on the south side of Dock Road, Grays, from a point 1.5m west of the eastern flank wall of 90 Dock Road in a west direction for a distance of 9m
iii. on the south side of Lawns Crescent, Grays, from a point 1.5m east of the western flank wall of 39 Lawns Crescent in a southwest direction for a distance of 5.5m

3) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
