Traffic Regulation Order (TRO)

40 Miles Per Hour Speed Limit

London Gateway Drive, Stanford-le-Hope

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 84 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby gives notice that they have made the above order on 10 November 2022, the order will come in to force on 28 November 2022.

a) The general effect of the Order would be to introduce 40mph speed limit restriction at the location(s) specified below:

i. London Gateway Drive southbound carriageway, from A1014 The Manorway roundabout in a southeast direction for a distance of 895m
ii. London Gateway Drive northbound carriageway, from A1014 The Manorway roundabout in a southeast direction for a distance of 1001m

2) A copy of the Made Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development team by contacting us on 01375 652 652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

3) Any person wishing to object to the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirements of the Act has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of on which the order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court.
