Public Path Extinguishment Order 2022

To extinguish (in part) Public Footpath 129 from College Avenue to Bradleigh Avenue, Grays.

The above Order, made on 5 October 2022, under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, because it appears to the authority that this section of Footpath is not needed for public use.

The details of this Order can be viewed on the council's website, A copy of the Order together with the plan will be available for inspection by appointment for a period of 28 days at the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL, during normal office hours between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday by appointments only. Appointments can be made by emailing or by phoning 01375 366 100, where copies can be made available.

Any representations about or objections to the order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent via email to or to the address above to arrive on or before Thursday 10 November 2022. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.

If no such representations are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Thurrock Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
