Public notice

1) Notice is hereby given that Thurrock Borough Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 84 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the 1984 Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, intends to make the above named Order ("the Proposed Order").

2) The general effect of the Order would be:

a) to revoke existing 40mph Speed Limit restriction at the locations specified below:

i. B149 Wood View, from its roundabout junction with River View and Chadwell Bypass in a northwest direction for a distance of 316m
ii. River View, from its roundabout junction with B149 Wood View and Chadwell Bypass in an east direction to the boundary of 112 and 114 River View
iii. Chadwell B-pass from its roundabout junction with B149 Wood View and River View in a southeast direction for a distance of 95m
iv. roundabout junction with B149 Wood View, Chadwell By-pass and River View

b) to introduce a 30mph Speed Limit restriction at the locations specified below:

i. B149 Wood view, from its roundabout junction with River View and Chadwell Bypass in a northwest direction for a distance of 316m 
ii. River View, from its roundabout junction with B149 Wood View and Chadwell Bypass in an east direction to the boundary of 112 and 114 River View
iii. Chadwell Bypass from its roundabout junction with B149 Wood View and River View in a southeast direction for a distance of 95m 
iv. roundabout junction with B149 Wood View, Chadwell Bypass and River View

3) A copy of the Proposed Order together with the plans can be obtained from the Transport Development Team by contacting us on 01375 652652 during normal office hours or alternatively via Thurrock Council's website at thurrock.gov.uk/publicnotices

4) Any objection to the proposed order must be made in writing, giving the grounds on which it is made and sent to the following address Civic Offices, New Road, Grays, RM17 6SL or sent via email to transportdevelopment@thurrock.gov.uk to arrive on or before 7 July 2022. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
