Thurrock is served by the c2c railway which connects London Fenchurch Street and Shoeburyness.

There are 7 c2c stations in Thurrock:

  • Stanford-le-Hope
  • East Tilbury
  • Tilbury Town
  • Grays
  • Purfleet
  • Chafford Hundred
  • Ockendon

From Shoeburyness on the east coast, services travel west via Southend-on-Sea to Pitsea and then enter Thurrock via the 'Tilbury loop', stopping at the above stations.

From Grays, services carry on west via Purfleet to Rainham and then Dagenham Dock, Barking, West Ham, Limehouse and Fenchurch Street. You can also go north from Grays via Chafford Hundred – for Lakeside Shopping Centre – and Ockendon to Upminster, and then connect with Barking, West Ham, Limehouse and Fenchurch Street.
