Minerals and Waste Local Plan
The Minerals and Waste Local Plan was intended to implement the vision and policies for minerals and waste that were set out in the adopted Core Strategy. It would do this through the use of policies that would balance the need for development against the needs for sustainable waste management and the prudent use of resources.
An 'issues and options' consultation document for minerals and waste in Thurrock was published in December 2009.
Work on the Minerals and Waste Local Plan has now been suspended indefinitely. Comments received on the consultation documents will be considered as part in the preparation a new Local Plan.
